I too would like for the invitation URL and password not to be shown to participants. How can this be achieved? Related to this issue, I intend to periodically rotate the password of meetings- is the rate limit of calls per day on the update meeting API per meeting or overall we can only invoke that endpoint times per day total? We are looking for exact similiar functionality.

We dont want to show the meeting id and invite link on the App. Can you update which release has this functionality. Please see our product support page or contact support. Is there a particular documentation page you can point to about hiding the meeting link?

In your earlier comment you said this issue was resolved somehow. We have the same issue. Our participants enter Zoom via a separate platform. If feature is available, please share the link to the documentation. If it is upcoming, let us know. So you can’t now just join a meeting with the Meeting ID – you need the password number as well. If your attendees are joining via a meeting link web address and have a Zoom account there is no change.

For meetings scheduled from now on, the meeting password can be found in the invitation. And if you create an instant meeting an impromptu meet without an invitation , the password will be shown in the Zoom client in case you want others to join. The Virtual Waiting Room has always been there, but many people have turned it off in the past.

It’s now on by default, again to ensure people in the meeting are the people you actually want in the meeting. How are you getting the meeting passwords and not the encoded password in the join url? Another part of the use case is that the Zoom dialog box for entering a meeting remembers the last few meeting IDs but, strangely, not their passwords. So, when a meeting has a password, you have to enter the password manually. For now, we would prefer the techniques we use to encode these passwords stay internal.

Very sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. I hear you. Initially I thought the password from the URL might be a simple hash value, but it seems to have been salted somehow. This behavior is on Chrome, as well as iOS devices. It keeps asking for a password. If I use the link without going through the website just type in the URL in another browser window, it is fine.

Sometimes, I find if I enter the URL it works again and update the meeting, even though the password was same as before. Have you checked the URL linked to the button? Zoom has changed their policy awhile ago and do no longer show the password in the URL link.
